Phase 2 of the master plan for the Borough of Chambersburg complex is the renovation and expansion of the police department.
The police department previously occupied 10,300 square feet between City Hall and an adjacent annex. When Phase 2 was completed, the police department encompasses one facility totaling 23,600 square feet.
The final facility will include a sally port, evidence processing lab, vehicle processing area, evidence storage, secure weapons storage, locker rooms, tactical training room, holding cells, hard interview rooms, public area with private conversation rooms, offices, and covered parking for five vehicles.
