The Jefferson County Community Center is a 20,000 square foot, one story structure, which provides activity space for Jefferson County residents. The space includes a gymnasium to seat 400 spectators, an NCAA sized basketball court with two shortened cross courts, volleyball courts, an aerobics room, and two activity rooms. Other support spaces include a lobby, offices, a reception area, concessions, toilet/shower rooms, and storage rooms.
The design responds to the goals and issues relating to the Community Center facility for Jefferson County. The building is a pre-engineered metal building with a metal roof and wall panels with unit masonry accents.
